Those Who Possess Dirt

collaborative open studio at New Glasgow Society, 2021

A research collaboration intent on untangling the material and ontological possibilities of more-than-human coexistence within Glasgow’s High Street.

After an extensive period of reduced social contact, the artists Shona Robin MacPherson, Clarinda Tse and India Boxall, alongside curator and researcher Ruby Eleftheriotis, took up residence at New Glasgow Society.

Together they considered new modes of knowledge production, collaboration, and healing by focusing on botanical matter through the lens of practice-led research. Over the course of the residency, the New Glasgow Society window spaces mediated between research and activities developed in the space and the built environment of High Street.

This project is funded by the National Lottery through Creative Scotland, Hope Scott Trust and supported by New Glasgow Society.
